Cub Adventure Weekend

In June the Transatlantic Council sponsored a cub scout adventure weekend at a scouting facility near Ansbach.  It took about two hours to drive there.

Oscar and I left Wiesbaden on Friday afternoon after school and then we drove home late on Saturday night.  The people who organized the activities had lots of fun things planned for the boys.  On Friday night, the boys played sports after dinner.

After breakfast on Saturday morning, the boys did a craft activity and air rifle shooting (with a safety lesson first).

After lunch, the boys had some free time before learning about archery, knots, and orienteering.  One of the other fathers brought a guitar but it was not as popular as the iPad.

After dinner, the boys did skits and then they did a night-time orienteering activity after it got dark.

It was almost 10:30 before we left to drive home.  Oscar was very tired at church the next morning but he really liked the activities.
