After lunch, the boys ate a Beyblade cake with ice cream.
Next it was time to open presents. Oscar got lots of great gifts from his friends.

Oscar turns eight!
Oscar's eighth birthday was last Sunday. We had a birthday party on Saturday afternoon.
Oscar invited some American friends from church and some German friends from school. It was an interesting group -- some boys spoke only English, others spoke only German, and three of the American boys from church spoke both English and German. The boys played Beyblades and four-player Mario Kart on the Wii.

Next it was time to open presents. Oscar got lots of great gifts from his friends.
On Sunday (Oscar's actual birthday), we sang Happy Birthday and Oscar opened presents that had been sent from grandparents in the United States. Oscar especially liked the Lego Ideas Book and the Beyblade from Hong Kong!
